St. Augustine crush Toco

St. Augustine pulled off another huge victory on Wednesday when they hosted Toco Composite blasting 10 unanswered goals past the newcomers in a one sided 10-0 victory. St. Augustine apparently was out to prove themselves after their disappointing draw with Hillview on Saturday. Ryan O’Neil finished with a hat trick while Daniel Joseph, Kareem Paul and tricky playmaker Elton John all scored doubles. Anthony Moses also added one to his teams tally. St. Augustine are in second place and now trail San Juan in the group standings by 2 points while Toco are currently in fifth place in the group.

El Dorado trounce Arima

El Dorado picked up three valuable points when they hosted Arima Senior yesterday and whipped them by a score line of 5-1. Two goals from Jamal Gay helped his side to the victory. Nicholas Clarke, Shane Hospedales and Akeen Lynch got the other goals for El Dorado. El Dorado move into joint second spot tied with St. Augustine after the victory and Arima sit on the bottom of the East Zone table after their fourth defeat in a row.

Malabar downed at Hillview

Hillview handed Malabar a 6-1 defeat yesterday at Hillview as they deservingly picked up their first win of the season. Leonardo Reyes and Darius Peters both scored twice and Kevin Lewis and LJ Mitchell rounded up the scoring for Hillview who have been playing attractive football all season long, despite the difficult match-ups in their group. This result moves Hillview into 4th spot in the Group, while leaving Malabar second to last in the standings.

Action resumes on Saturday when Toco travel to Malabar in a game where both teams desperately need the points. Arima host Hillview who will be looking to pull off a huge victory against the whipping boys of the group. The big game will be played at St. Augustine where they will be welcoming San Juan and hoping to pick up all three points and move to the top of the group.
