Diego Martin Senior was taught a valuable lesson about Championship football on Tuesday at the Hasley Crawford Stadium, when they were drubbed 5-0 by North Zone Champions Mucurapo Senior in the RBTT Intercol quarterfinals. Mucurapo will face QRC in the semifinals on Saturday. The league champions started off the game in total control, but had to wait until the 20th minute to get their opening goal despite having the lion’s share of possession. The first goal came from Kevon Piper who was the recipient of a beautiful defense splitting flick on pass from the talented Kevin Molino. Piper’s well placed finish gave Andrew Waldron absolutely no chance in the Diego Martin goal.

Fatima College were last evening crowned 2005 RBTT Intercol North Zone champions after what could only be described as an epic match at the Hasely Crawford Stadium.

THE stars of the 2005 RBTT-sponsored Secondary Schools Football League (SSFL) InterCol tournament have the chance to be selected on a Trinidad and Tobago schoolboys All-Star team which will tour Jamaica for a two-match series against a Jamaican All-Star selection.

At the end of 90 minutes, or whatever extra time is necessary to separate the teams, either Fatima College or St Augustine Secondary Comprehensive will break a national Intercol drought of more than 20 years when they clash at the Hasely Crawford Stadium from 4.30 p.m. today.
