Mucurapo trounce Diego Martin 5-0

Diego Martin Senior was taught a valuable lesson about Championship football on Tuesday at the Hasley Crawford Stadium, when they were drubbed 5-0 by North Zone Champions Mucurapo Senior in the RBTT Intercol quarterfinals. Mucurapo will face QRC in the semifinals on Saturday. The league champions started off the game in total control, but had to wait until the 20th minute to get their opening goal despite having the lion’s share of possession. The first goal came from Kevon Piper who was the recipient of a beautiful defense splitting flick on pass from the talented Kevin Molino. Piper’s well placed finish gave Andrew Waldron absolutely no chance in the Diego Martin goal.

Roxborough crushed by Scarborough

Roxborough crashed to an 18 – nil defeat on Tuesday in front of their own fans when they hosted Scarborough Secondary. Jeremy Williams opened the scoring in the 8th minute and also added two more in the closing stages of the game. Andell Murray scored four while Jerron Quashie added a further three. Norell Osmond, Christopher Crosby and Roland Fedro scored two goals each and the rest of the goals came from Jevaugn Arnol and Acqin Raymond.

QRC dismal start to season continues.

QRC went down 3-1 on Saturday to Mucurapo Senior Comprehensive at QRC grounds. The defending North Zone champions extended their winning streak to three games and remain on top of the North Zone League table. Keron Dove opened the scoring for Mucurapo in the first half, and QRC soon got the equalizer through their in form striker Jerrel Britto. The teams went into the break tied at one a piece. After the interval, Mucurapo restored their lead through a Ricardo Peltier goal, and then a freakish mistake from young QRC goalkeeper, Yannick Duchausee gave Mucurapo their third goal which put the issue beyond doubt.
