Central Zone
‘Caps’ off to winning start; Carapichaima 2 – 1 Preysal
Newboys Preysal went down to Cental League defending champions, Carapichaima today in a plucky 2-1 defeat. Many would have expected Carapichaima to beat the newly promoted team by a much higher margin, but Preysal definitely showed that they are not going to be a pushover team. Carapichaima opened the scoring in the 26th minute through Kareem Ryce, and doubled their lead just 3 minutes later when Shaquille Holder found the back of the net. Kevin Babb picked up a late consolation goal for Preysal in the 80th minute.
Carapichaima host Chaguanas on Wednesday 10th Sept in the battle of the seniors, while Preysal travel to Presentation Chaguanas also on the same day.
Also kicking off their campaigns on Friday 5th Sept are Chaguanas Senior vs Waterloo and Presentation vs Marabella.
